JOB DESCRIPTION

The work operations of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service are one of several initiatives aimed at providing inmates with meaningful employment during their time in prison and promoting their reintegration into society after release.

As a production manager, you will lead our clients in the prison's production. In daily contact with the inmates, your work will contribute to their learning as well as to maintaining order and security. The prison's production mainly consists of sewing, but also includes some assembly and packaging work.

Together with your colleagues, you will motivate the clients to participate in the work, plan, and lead. The work includes inspections, maintenance of premises, some ongoing machine maintenance, inventory management, administration, and documentation. The role of the production manager is linked to responsibility for daily operations, and you will also participate in production work to ensure that our deliveries are made on time. All activities are conducted without compromising safety.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is secure, stable, and works well with others, exercising good judgment. You communicate clearly, see relationships in their proper perspective, distinguish between the personal and professional, and adapt your behavior to the situation. The role requires a good understanding of both security and how people absorb knowledge. You remain calm, stable, and controlled even in stressful situations, and possess the physical ability to move freely if the situation requires it. Good collaboration skills are essential as you will be part of a team and also collaborate with other parts of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service and external partners.

We are looking for candidates who have:

• A completed upper secondary education or other education combined with work experience deemed relevant by the Swedish Prison and Probation Service.
• Experience in sewing and a creative/constructive environment.
• Good computer skills and administrative abilities.
• The ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish.
• Good logistical skills.

Meritorious:

• Work experience in correctional services, social care, psychiatry, or health and social care.
• Experience in leadership.
• Pedagogical experience.
• Experience in customer service.
• Relevant language skills.
• Knowledge of ISO9000.
• Driving license (B).
• Forklift license.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

We have high demands on our employees' awareness of security and confidentiality. To work with us, you need to undergo a security clearance in accordance with the Security Protection Act. For this position, a security clearance interview will be conducted before a hiring decision is made.
